West Yorkshire contractor makes six figure investment in Normanton manufacturing plant

SIPBuild UK, the structural insulated panel contractor, has invested a six figure sum in the development of a new manufacturing plant in Normanton.

The contractor, which manufactures and constructs buildings made from Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs), has now opened a 11,500 sq ft. manufacturing plant at Normanton Industrial Estate.

Over the last year, SIPBuild UK has seen growing demand for modern methods of construction in the public and private sector. 

As a result the opening of the plant, which is also set to created new jobs, follows on from the contractor securing raft of contract wins for new SIP buildings. 

Chris Duckworth, managing director of SIPBuild UK, said: “The ever increasing demand for offsite manufactured systems has completely transformed the construction landscape.

“Over the last six months we’ve doubled our production of SIPs and secured significant contract wins - a trend which sees no sign of slowing.

“The investment we’re making in our newest manufacturing plant and the creation of a number of new roles underpins our ambitions for further growth.“
